Heatherstone is a family business owned by Barry, Kathryn, Tom and Dan Newbigging who have bred and shown Hackney Horses for more than 30 years.

We maintain a herd of more than 20 registered Hackney Horses. We also raise registered Clydesdales and Hackney Clyde Thoroughbred crosses which are used for many disciplines such as field hunter, show jumping and coaching to name a few.  We also own some registered Hackney Ponies. Through the years we have won many Futurities at various shows with our animals and had a lot of fun doing some pleasure driving and weddings.

The year 2000 has been a successful year for us Heatherstone William Wallace our 3 years old stallion was Grand Champion Stallion at the Canadian National Exhibition

As well we had other Futurity winners: Heatherstone Royal Scott and Heatherstone Rob Roy (pony)

At Heatherstone there are 2 Hackney Stallions Norfolk Phenomenon and McAllister's Traveller  standing at stud for those of you who would like the old blood lines.

On  the farm we also have a registered Clydesdale stallion Carsons Sarge and a Thoroughbred stallion Generals Victorian.

There are always futurity winners and crossbreds for sale.
