Bob Bartlett

Dr. W. W. Bartlett and Robert (Bob) Bartlett of Bartholme Farm, Brampton, Ontario are being nominated for their contribution to the Hackney for their decision to buy and stand the great Cassilis Debonaire as a breeding stallion. Dr. Bartlett bred the multi-World Grand Champion Flamethrower (originally registered as Bartholme Super Sharp). Dr. Bartlett also bred Bartholme King Command, Bartholme Commando, Bartholme Debonaire and Bartholme Clown. The legacy of Bartholme Farm continued with Dr. Bartlett’s son Bob and his wife Birgit as they raised World Champions Heir Apparent, Northern Reflection and Debonaire’s Moonraker. While standing Debonaire to the public, World Champions resulting from the union include: Vindicator, Rag-A-Muffin’, Kilreen Debonaire Lady, Heartland Supremacy, Rags To Riches, Rhymes and Reason, Mr. Amigo, and I’m A Big Leaguer. The Bartholme Farm has made a significant contribution to the Hackney breed. (Inducted February 2004)
