Flyer's Sensation

This little bay longtail pony trimmed in white was foaled at the farm of Leslie Gunby, Lynden, Ontario in 1972. Sired by Cassilis High Flyer, and out of King's Jenny Lynn, he was an attractive young pony that caught the attention of William Gilligan, St. Catharines. Gilbert Fairies followed as owner, and sent the pony to Art Alderman for his first lessons. After making his debut in harness, ownership was transfered to Paul McVittie, Essex, Ontario, where he was shown by Mark Annett to wins in Toronto, London and many shows in between. He was paired with Windy Hill Kings Joni and won many pair and tandem classes as well. In 1982, Duane Miller bought Flyer's Sensation and placed him with Dave Smith to exhibit. The winning continued with victorys including the Harness Pony championship at the 1983 and 1984 Royal Winter Fairs. Mr. and Mrs Fred Olisky from Massachusetts bought Flyers Sensation from the Miller Stables in 1985 and exhibited him at shows in the north east US. He is remembered as one of the top harness ponies to be shown in Canada.
