Penny - Bred by James Carter of Brampton, in 1984 she was sold to Craig Yates
of Caldon East, then in 1985 she was purchased by Art Alderman. More
affectionately known as "Dolly" to her many fans, Dolly was an all around
Super Horse, she was shown team, tandem, gig, phaeton, ladies, amateur, open,
under saddle, junior exhibitor and championship stake classes. Dolly
won may red ribbons during her show career, and captured the Grand Champion
Hackney Horse Mare in hand at the C.N.E. and the Royal Winter Fair 16 times.
In 1994 Jane Graham become Dolly's last owner, and in 1998 Dolly retired
from the show world, and is living a life of leisure on Art's farm raising
colts. (Inducted March 2003.)
